Nancy Mairs talks about how physical disability affects one's point of view in life. Nancy brings up biblical history to prove a connection between normal and being disabled. She brings her own life examples when she was in a wheel chair and could barely see our face. She states that "good woman", a term used to describe a women. She questions herself, " am I a good woman"? " Am I good for nothing"? She compares good for nothing to sex, being able to stand, her arms dying, unable to do simple tasks such as eating. Nancy states its difficult to love the world but I am not alone.
